DENVER,
May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gasco Energy (OTC
Bulletin Board: GASE -News ) today announced that
Richard J. Burgess has been elected to its Board of
Directors.
A certified petroleum geologist, the 72-year-old Mr.
Burgess retired in 1995 from his position as President
and Chief Executive Officer of CMS Nomeco Oil &
Gas Co, which he was instrumental in founding in 1967.
A highly talented oil and gas finder throughout his
career, he has extensive exploration and development
experience in both conventional and non-conventional
reservoirs throughout the United States and internationally.
Mr. Burgess is a past president of the Potential Gas
Committee, the Michigan Oil and Gas Association and
the Michigan Geological Society. He has served on
the boards of Seagull Energy, Sydney Oil Company and
Command Petroleum. He currently serves on the Board
of Directors of Sydney, Australia-based ROC Oil Company
Ltd.
Mr.
Burgess replaces Mike Decker who remains with Gasco
as Chief Operating Office and Executive Vice President.
The number of Gasco Board Members remains seven.
