of Potential Gas Committee,
Michael Decker, Joins Gasco Energy

2, 2001 - Gasco Energy,
Inc. (OTC BB: GASE), ) - is pleased to announce the
appointment of Michael Decker Chief Operating Officer
and Executive Vice President. Decker has 24 years
of oil and gas prospecting, mergers and acquisitions,
development and operations experience. He is also
Chairman of the Potential Gas Committee, an independent
group that provides estimates and reports on the nation's
long-range gas supply. The Committee publishes "Potential
Supply of Natural Gas in the United States",
a report that tabulates estimates of potential resources
for 89 onshore and offshore geologic provinces within
six regions of the Lower 48 States and within Alaska.
Decker is the past Vice President of Exploitation
with Prima Energy Corporation (NASDAG: PENG), a Denver
based independent oil and gas company. Previous to
Prima, Decker worked for Bonneville Fuels Corporation
and Tenneco Exploration and Production Company. Decker
is also currently the Owner and President of Black
Diamond Energy, a geological engineering, operations,
prospecting and M&A consulting firm.
